After determining that a quorum is present, the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas will convene in a Work Session on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 8:30 a.m. in the Training Rooms 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 at the Development Services Center, 401 N Elm Street, Denton, Texas at which the following items will be considered:
WORK SESSION
A. Receive a report, hold a discussion, and give staff direction regarding the Fiscal Year 2025-26 City Manager’s Proposed Budget, Capital Improvement Program, and Five-Year Financial Forecast. [Estimated Discussion Time: 2.5 Hours]
B. Receive a report, hold a discussion, and give staff direction regarding municipal finance bills of the 89th Legislature first-called special session. [Estimated Discussion Time: 1 Hour]
C. Receive training and hold a discussion regarding the City of Denton Code of Ordinances Chapter 2, Article XI (Ethics). [Estimated Presentation/Discussion Time: 30 minutes]
