A. Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton authorizing the City Manager, or his designee, to execute and deliver an Advance Funding Agreement for a Highway Safety Improvement On-System Project, between the City of Denton and the Texas Department of Transportation (“TxDOT”), regarding TxDOT’s request for reimbursement in the amount of $29,562.00 for plan review costs related to the improvement of traffic signals and pedestrian facilities along Loop 288 at Kings Row, US 380, and McKinney Street; confirming and ratifying prior expenses; authorizing the expenditure of additional funds therefor; and providing an effective date.
D. Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton authorizing an agreement between the City of Denton and Denton County Friends of the Family, for the purpose of Friends of the Badge 2021 sponsorship; providing for the expenditure of funds; and providing for an effective date. ($5,000 - Hotel Occupancy Tax and Sponsorship Committee recommends approval 3-0)
H. Consider adoption of an ordinance authorizing the City Manager to execute an amended and restated agreement between the City of Denton and the Denton Festival Foundation, Inc. for the payment and use of hotel tax revenue; and providing an effective date. ($88,750 Hotel Occupancy Tax and Sponsorship Committee recommends approval 2-1)
AC. Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation, authorizing the City Manager, or his designee, to execute a contract with Whirlix Design, Inc., through the Buy Board Cooperative Purchasing Network Contract # 592-19, for the purchase and construction of Joe Skiles Park Playground for the Parks and Recreation Department; providing for the expenditure of funds therefor; and providing an effective date (File 7419 - awarded to Whirlix Design, Inc., in the not-to-exceed amount of $123,753).
AM. Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation, authorizing the City Manager to execute a public works contract with Quality Excavation, LLC, for the construction of the 2019 Intersection Improvements Project for the City of Denton; providing for the expenditure of funds therefor; and providing an effective date (IFB 7413 - awarded to Quality Excavation, LLC, in the not-to-exceed amount of $1,809,570.63).
A. Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, Texas adopting a schedule of fees for the Denton Fire Department; superseding all prior fees in conflict with such schedule; providing for severability; and providing for an effective date.
B. Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton amending the provisions of Section 6-38 of the Code of Ordinances regarding disposition of a dangerous animal to amend the dangerous animal requirements; providing a severability clause; providing for a savings clause; providing a penalty; providing for codification; and providing for publication and an effective date.
C. Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation, authorizing the City Manager, or his designee, to execute a contract with Rush Truck Centers of Texas, LP, through the Buy Board Cooperative Purchasing Network Contract # 601-19, for the purchase of Peterbilt Trucks for various City Departments; providing for the expenditure of funds therefor; and providing an effective date (File 7517 - awarded to Rush Truck Centers of Texas, LP, in the five (5) year not-to-exceed amount of $20,000,000). The Public Utilities Board recommends approval (6 - 0).

Hold a public hearing and consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, Texas, regarding a Comprehensive Plan Amendment on approximately 51.808 acres of land from Rural Areas Future Land Use designation to Moderate Residential Future Land Use designation, generally located south and west of Vintage Boulevard and west of Fort Worth Drive, in the City of Denton, Denton County, Texas; adopting an amendment to the City’s Official Future Land Use Map; providing for a penalty in the maximum amount of $2,000.00 for violations thereof; and providing a severability clause and an effective date. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommends approval 7-0 of this request. (CA20-0003, Burch Tract, Ron Menguita)
B. Hold a public hearing and consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, Texas, regarding a request to establish an initial zoning district and use classification of Residential 6 (R6), on approximately 51.808 acres of land, generally located south and west of Vintage Boulevard and west of Fort Worth Drive, in the City of Denton, Denton County, Texas; adopting an amendment to the City’s official zoning map; providing for a penalty in the maximum amount of $2000.00 for violations thereof; and providing for a severability clause and an effective date. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommends approval 7-0 of this request, with a condition. (Z20-0008, Burch Tract, Ron Menguita)
C. Hold a public hearing and consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, Texas, approving a Specific Use Permit to allow a building of no more than 46 feet in height on approximately 1.57-acres, generally located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Stuart Road and North Loop 288 in the City of Denton, Denton County, Texas; providing for a penalty in the maximum amount of $2,000.00 for violations thereof; providing for severability; and establishing an effective date.
