After determining that a quorum is present, the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas will convene in a CITY COUNCIL on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 06:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 215 E. McKinney Street , Denton, Texas at which the following items will be considered:

The City of Denton City Council will convene in the Work Session Room on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. to attend a reception honoring City Council.

After determining that a quorum is present, the City of Denton City Council will convene in a Regular Meeting on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 215 E. McKinney Street, Denton, Texas at which the following items will be considered:

1.	Pledge of Allegiance

A. U.S. Flag

B. Texas Flag "Honor the Texas Flag - I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one and indivisible."

Consider adoption of an ordinance canvassing the returns and declaring the results of the Regular Municipal Election to elect City Council Members to Districts 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas held in the City of Denton on May 14, 2011; and providing an effective date.

3.	Oath of Office administered to newly elected Council Members.

4.	Election of Mayor Pro Tempore.

5.	Consider approval of Resolution of Appreciation for retiring Council Member.
