After determining that a quorum is present, the Planning and Zoning Commission will convene a Work Session on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 05:29 PM in the City Council Work Session Room at City Hall, 215 E. McKinney Street, Denton, Texas at which time the following items will be considered:

2.	Receive a report and hold a discussion regarding the Denton Plan Update. (Ron Menguita)

3.	Receive a report and hold a discussion regarding Site Plan Review. (Mike Bell)

REGULAR MEETING

NOTE: The Planning and Zoning Commission reserves the right to adjourn into a Closed Meeting on any item on its Work Session or Regular Session agendas at any time, consistent with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, as amended, including without limitation, Sections 551.071-551.086 of the Texas Open Meetings Act.

After completing the Work Session, the Planning and Zoning Commission will convene a Regular Meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Denton, Texas which will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 and will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 215 E. McKinney at which time the following items will be considered:

1. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:

B. Texas Flag "Honor the Texas Flag - I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas one state under God, one and indivisible."

2. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MINUTES FOR:

A. August 28, 2013

B. September 25, 2013

3. CONSENT AGENDA: Staff recommends approval of the following items because they meet the requirements of the Denton Development Code. Approval of the Consent Agenda includes staff recommendations for approvals and authorizes staff to proceed. The Planning and Zoning Commission has reviewed the applications and has had an opportunity to raise questions regarding the items prior to consideration:

A. Final Plat of Lot 1, Block A of the City of Denton Animal Care Addition. The 4.433 acre site is located on the south side of Highway 77, west of Riney Road. The property is located within Neighborhood Residential 2 (NR-2) and Neighborhood Residential Mixed Use 12 (NRMU-12) zoning districts. (FP12-0023, City of Denton Animal Care Addition, Ron Menguita)

B. Final Plat of Lot 1R1 and 1R2, Block A of Baruch Addition; being a replat of Lot 1, Block A of Baruch Addition. The 8.323 acre site is located south of Elm Street, north of Loop 288, and west of Interstate 35 North. The property is located in a Regional Center Commercial Downtown (RCC-D) zoning district. 4. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: Under Section 551.042 of the Texas Open Meetings Act, respond to inquiries from the Planning and Zoning Commission or the public with specific factual information or recitation of policy, or accept a proposal to place the matter on the agenda for an upcoming meeting.
