After determining that a quorum is present, the Planning and Zoning Commission will convene a Work Session on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 06:21 PM in the City Council Work Session Room at City Hall, 215 E. McKinney Street, Denton, Texas at which time the following items will be considered:

REGULAR MEETING

NOTE: The Planning and Zoning Commission reserves the right to adjourn into a Closed Meeting on any item on its Work Session or Regular Session agendas at any time, consistent with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, as amended, including without limitation, Sections 551.071-551.086 of the Texas Open Meetings Act.

After completing the Work Session, the Planning and Zoning Commission will convene a Regular Meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Denton, Texas which will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 and will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 215 E. McKinney at which time the following items will be considered:

1. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:

B. Texas Flag       "Honor the Texas Flag - I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas one state under God, one and indivisible."

2. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MINUTES FOR:

A. August 13, 2014

B. August 27, 2014

3. PUBLIC HEARING:

A. Hold a public hearing and consider making a recommendation to City Council regarding the rezoning of 16.03 acres from a Neighborhood Residential 3 (NR-3) zoning district to a Neighborhood Residential 6 (NR-6) zoning district. The property is generally located north of E University Drive and south of Foxcroft Circle, between Nottingham Drive and Old North Road. (Z14-0015, Old North Park Phase II, Julie Wyatt)

B. Hold a public hearing and consider making a recommendation to City Council regarding a rezoning from Regional Center Residential 1 (RCR-1) to Regional Center Commercial Neighborhood (RCC-N) on approximately 2.755 acres.  The subject property is generally located along the service road of I-35E, approximately 200 feet southeast of Lillian B. Miller Parkway.  (Z14-0016, Southridge Shopping Center Lots 1B, 1C, & 1D, Mike Bell)

4. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS:  Under Section 551.042 of the Texas Open Meetings Act, respond to inquiries from the Planning and Zoning Commission or the public with specific factual information or recitation of policy, or accept a proposal to place the matter on the agenda for an upcoming meeting.
