2. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MINUTES FOR:

3. CONSENT AGENDA: Staff recommends approval of the following items because they meet the requirements of the Denton Development Code. Approval of the Consent Agenda includes staff recommendations for approvals and authorizes staff to proceed. The Planning and Zoning Commission has reviewed the applications and has had an opportunity to raise questions regarding the items prior to consideration:

4. PUBLIC HEARING:

A. Hold a public hearing and consider making a recommendation to City Council regarding a Specific Use Permit (SUP) to allow development of sanitary landfill and heavy manufacturing use on a property located in an Industrial Center General (IC-G) zoning and use district on approximately 147.79 acres. The subject property is generally located east of Mayhill Road, and approximately 4000 feet south of McKinney Street. (S13-0007, City of Denton Landfill, Nana Appiah) This item will be continued to the October 22, 2014.

B. Hold a public hearing and consider making a recommendation to City Council regarding an application for a Historic Landmark Designation for the property located at 1108 West Congress Street. The subject site is located on the north side of Congress Street, approximately 75 feet west of the intersection of Congress Street and Fulton Street. The Historic Landmark Commission recommends approval of this request (6-0). (HL14-0007, 1108 West Congress, Cindy Jackson)

C. Hold a public hearing and consider making a recommendation to City Council regarding a proposed amendment to the detailed plan for shopping center to revise the approved sign plan. The site is located within a Planned Development (PD-142) zoning district. The 19.67 acre subject site is located at the northeast corner of the intersection of I-35 Service Road and Westgate Drive. (PDA14-0003, Stonehill Center, Cindy Jackson)
