WE ALSO LOOK AT COMPARABLE CITIES AROUND US. WE LOOK AT OUR CURRENT FEES, A COST RECOVERY PERCENTAGE, OUR TARGET COST RECOVERY PERCENTAGE, AND THE IMPACT ON THE COMMUNITY. THE PROPOSED CHANGES ARE REVIEWED BY STAFF. ANY APPROPRIATE COMMITTEES AND THEN APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL. THE FEES YOU'LL SEE IN THIS PRESENTATION ARE FOCUSED ON THE GENERAL FUND. WE'LL START WITH THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. THE FIRST CHANGE THAT YOU'LL SEE HERE AT THE TOP IS IN RELATIONSHIP TO THE BASIC PEACE OFFICER TRAINING ACADEMY, AND THAT IS A TCOLE CERTIFICATION THAT WE HAVE OPEN TO OTHER ENTITIES.
