A. Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation, authorizing the Mayor to execute an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with the Town of Argyle, Texas, for the purpose of providing for all necessary engineering, right-of-way acquisition, utility relocation, and construction associated with the reconstruction of Crawford Road Project, wherein the City of Denton agrees to contribute an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Thousand dollars ($300,000.00); authorizing the expenditure of funds thereof; and declaring an effective date.
A. Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation, extending the effective period of the declared state of local disaster; superseding and replacing the Fifth Order of Council of the City of Denton issued May 29, 2020 approved by Ordinance 20-980; confirming and authorizing the expenditure of funds; providing a repealer clause; and providing an effective date.
B. Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation, adopting a City of Denton Procurement Policy; authorizing the City Manager or his designee to administer the policy and adopt procedures to implement the policy; providing a repealer clause and savings clause; providing a severability clause; and providing an effective date.
C. Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton authorizing the City Manager to execute a Third Amendment to the Contract for Sale, between the City, as Buyer, and Saratan Corporation I, Inc., a Texas Corporation, as Seller, regarding the purchase of 909 N. Loop 288, Denton, Denton County, Texas, pursuant to the terms thereof; Authorizing the additional expenditure of up to $165,000.00 in remediation expenses related to the transaction; and providing an effective date.
D. Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton terminating the Contract for Sale, including subsequent amendments, between the City, as Buyer, and Saratan Corporation I, Inc., a Texas corporation, as Seller, regarding the purchase of 909 N. Loop 288, Denton, Denton County, Texas, pursuant to the terms thereof; and providing an effective date.
E. Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation, authorizing the approval of a first amendment to a Professional Services Agreement between the City of Denton and Brandstetter Carroll, Inc., amending the contract approved by City Council on May 21, 2019, in the not-to-exceed amount of $3,085,830; said first amendment to provide additional professional design and engineering services for the Expansion of Police Headquarters, Public Safety Dispatch Area, and a New Police Substation, and the added scope for design and engineering services for a new Police Firing Range; providing for the expenditure of funds therefor; and providing an effective date (RFQ 7008 - providing for an additional first amendment expenditure amount not-to-exceed $649,650, with the total contract amount not-to-exceed $3,735,480).
F. Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation, authorizing the City Manager to execute a Professional Services Agreement with Peak Program Value, LLC, a Colorado Limited Liability Company, for project controls throughout the Construction Management at Risk Projects, (Police Headquarters, Police Substation, and Firing Range) and the Development Services Building/Day Break Building renovation as set forth in the contract; providing for the expenditure of funds therefor; and providing an effective date (File 7304 - Professional Services Agreement awarded to Peak Program Value, LLC, for a term ending on September 30, 2020, in the not-to-exceed amount of $267,105).
G. Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation, authorizing the approval of Change Order No. 8 to the contract between the City of Denton and Zachry Construction Corporation, for the Mayhill Roadway Improvements Project; providing for the expenditure of funds therefor; and providing an effective date (IFB 6389 - Change Order No. 8 in the not-to-exceed amount of $1,832,541.66 for a total contract award aggregated to $37,436,131.77).
H. Consider a motion to reconsider the June 16, 2020 approval of an ordinance (File ID Z20-0002b) for a change in the zoning district and use classification on approximately 98 acres from Light Industrial (LI) and General Office (GO) to Mixed-Use Regional (MR). The site includes 3 tracts: Tract 1 includes one acre generally located at the northwest intersection of South Loop 288 and Shady Oaks Drive; Tract 2 includes 72.76 acres located at the southwest corner of South Loop 288 and Shady Oaks drive; Tract 3 includes 24.14 acres located on the south side of Shady Oaks Drive, approximately 1900 feet west of South Loop 288, in the City of Denton, Denton County, Texas; providing for a penalty in the maximum amount of $2,000.00 for violations thereof; providing for severability; and establishing an effective date (Z20-0002c, Canopy Trails, Julie Wyatt).
