Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton authorizing a service agreement between the city of Denton and Our Daily Bread, Inc.; authorizing the City Manager, or his designee, to execute said agreement; providing for the expenditure of council contingency funds in an amount not to exceed one thousand and fifty dollars ($1,050.00); and providing an effective date.

Consider adoption of an ordinance authorizing the City Manager to execute a service agreement related to a Public, Education, and Government (PEG) grants with the University of North Texas for its Denton Community Television PEG channel; authorizing the expenditure of funds therefor; and declaring an effective date.

Consider adoption of an ordinance authorizing the City Manager to execute a service agreement related to a Public, Education, and Government (PEG) grants with the Denton Independent School District for its PEG channel; authorizing the expenditure of funds therefor; and declaring an effective date.

A. Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation, extending the effective period of the declared state of local disaster; superseding and replacing the Ninth Order of Council of the City of Denton issued August 25, 2020 approved by Ordinance No. 20-1597, to provide additional requirements and guidance; confirming the expenditure of funds and authorizing the expenditure of additional funds; providing a repealer clause; and providing an effective date.
B. Consider approval of a resolution of the City of Denton authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute a Letter of Commitment to transfer funds from the City of Denton’s CARES Act funding to the Denton Independent School District to purchase remote-learning technology, and declaring an effective date.
C. Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton authorizing the City Manager, or his designee, to execute and deliver a Public Highway At-grade Crossing Agreement between the City of Denton and the Union Pacific Railroad Company (UPRR), regarding reimbursement to UPRR for the cost of installing grade crossing protection devices, installing highway traffic control signals, and installing the necessary relays and other materials required to interconnect and coordinate the operation of said railroad grade crossing protection devices with the operation of said highway traffic control signals at the UPRR/E. Hickory Street intersection; authorizing the expenditure of funds therefore; and providing an effective date.
D. Consider approval of a resolution of the City Council of the City of Denton extending the Civil Service Line of Duty Injury Leave of Absence of Denton Police Officer Urbano Rodriguez for one year at full pay; and providing an effective date.
E. Consider approval of a resolution of the City Council of the City of Denton authorizing the City Manager to pay certain expenses related to the line of duty injury of police officer Urbano Rodriguez; and providing an effective date.
F. Consider adoption of an ordinance amending Chapter 18 "Motor Vehicles and Traffic," Article III "Speed of Vehicles," Section 18-73 "Speed Limits on Certain Roads and Highways," of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, to change the locations, extent, and speed limits of certain speed zones; providing a repealer clause; providing a savings clause; providing a severability clause; providing a penalty clause; providing for publication; providing codification; and providing an effective date.
G. Consider adoption of an ordinance establishing the rates for water and water service; providing for a repealer; providing for a severability clause; and, providing for an effective date. The Public Utilities Board (PUB) recommends approval (7-0).

Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, amending chapter 25 “Streets, Sidewalks and Public Places” of the Code of Ordinances, by amending section 25-160, Code of Ordinance, “Interments” to increase the notice required for burial permits to forty-eight-hours; and amending section 25-161, “Concrete Work,” to include the removal of the monument permit late fee; and providing an effective date.

Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, Texas adopting a schedule of fees for the Denton Police Department training facilities, firearms range, special events, off duty police officers, and motor vehicle escorts for hire; providing for severability; providing a repealer; and establishing an effective date.
M. Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, Texas amending the Fiscal Year 2019-20 Budget and Annual Program of Services to allow for adjustments to the Electric Fund by three million dollars ($3,000,000) to purchase the landfill gas to energy facility (DTE) and an increase the General Fund Return on Investment; and, an effective date. The Public Utilities Board (PUB) recommends approval (7-0).
N. Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, Texas, amending the fiscal year 2019-2020 budget and annual program of services of the city of Denton to allow for adjustments to the risk fund of three million dollars ($3,000,000) for the purpose of funding liability claims; providing a severability clause, a repealer clause, an open meetings clause and an effective date.
O. Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, Texas, Authorizing the City Manager to execute the certified local government subgrant fiscal year 2021 grant letter of intent for Historic Denton Inc., relating to the Texas Historical Commission Certified Local Government Grant to conduct a historical survey of an area selected and approved by the Texas Historical Commission for nomination as a National Historic District; and providing for an effective date.
