- approval of the scope increases for Fire Station five, Fire Station six, and the addendum, additional funding for Linda Mcnatt Animal Services. That's option two for all of those, we would reallocate $8.6 million that is currently budgeted for Bonnie Brae phase five. We
- would use existing project funding to provide a mill and overlay and base repairs to extend the life of every phase five section extend about 7 to 10 years, we anticipate, and then we would move the budget for Bonnie Brae five into the CIP for fiscal year 2033 and 2035
- . Something we wanted to note here is currently we have a lot of work going on on Bonnie Brae. We weren't planning on doing Bonnie Brae Phase 4 or 5 until we completed Bonnie Brae Phase three and Bonnie Brae Phase six. You'll see the construction contract for Bonnie Brae phase six
- coming tonight to council. That is a two and a half year construction timeline, so we would not be ready to build Bonnie Brae 4 or 5, at least for the next 2 to 3 years. Doing this recommendation would be no increase to the tax tax rate and we wouldn't have to. No
- Bonnie Brae under construction at the same time. So if I if we follow that plan and I don't start the construction of that until Bonnie Brae phase six is done, it would be 2030 before we're ready to do that anyway. And then the plan would be to still do some road, I mean
- road improvements for Bonnie Brae five. We would come in, do a mill and overlay and do some base failure repairs as well. So it wouldn't be that we wouldn't do anything. We would come in and for lack of a better term, Band-Aid it until we could reconstruct it. My concern
- with that money. We can reallocate it to different sections of Bonnie Brae to cover some of those funding gaps. And so they're okay with that. So the original cost is still going to be there, whatever that project was. And we can get you that information a $2 million, up to
- now. Okay. I appreciate you. Chief. Trevor. We're if we delay. So again, connect some of the timeline pieces for me for the Bonnie Brae. We also have different segments and we're trying to align all our segments to a similar standard. Plus we have some side streets like Ryan
- and schools that are going in along that. If we kick the can, how does that affect some of the timings and the street widths and the design specifications for both Bonnie Brae and the side streets off of Bonnie Brae? Sure. So Bonnie Brae phase three that is from Roselawn
- to 35 is currently under construction right now. So that's the one right by UNT Stadium. I think we got about another two years of construction there. Bonnie Brae phase six contracts coming tonight. That's a two and a half year construction that is from 380 up to Elm and
- . We've got I-35 under construction with TxDOT right now. We didn't want to shut down all of Bonnie Brae currently. Right now, as far as kind of the segment of the roadway, four B would probably still move forward. Five is the least, I'm going to say the least. I'm not the
- least traveled, but really the best section that we have at Bonnie Brae phase five right now. We wouldn't be making a suggestion if I if I didn't think that the roadway could support, you know, the traffic for the next ten years. And that's why we feel like just doing the
- to mention it. You know, we've I'm sure you've heard it. People are sick and tired of Bonnie Brae being torn up. And this was a solution that Trevor and the staff came up with. That still gets the work done, but delays extra work. And it's from the roundabout by Presby to
- vetting before the bond program that we said we needed. You know, some of the numbers were off. However, I do believe it's in our best interest to do this now versus later. And as far as the part of Bonnie Brae that is not going to be addressed in, in a permanent way for a
- air. That is correct. Okay, okay. Thank you. Yes, sir. As boy, as reluctant as I am to abandon Bonnie Brae, I'm. I'm all about asphalt. I mean, I that that that just it breaks my heart to say this G I'm going to get you some new asphalt out there. Well, and I don't have to
- tell you, people have whined and whined and whined about Bonnie Brae. I actually got an email that said that suggested that the city had simply said, we can't fix Bonnie Brae. We're simply going to give up, as preposterous as that is. But but that's the attitude that's
- backyard. But why time shift? Bonnie Brae versus time shift. Rudel. Yeah. So I think I mean, there's going to be multiple options. I think this was the easiest, knowing that the time frame that we were going to go to construction on Bonnie Brae five was already going to be moved
- go out and do I felt that that was something we needed to move forward with. And as Bonnie Brae Phase five project was a project that was already going to be moved out three years, I don't think it's going to hurt us that much. And I don't think that the typical
- resident will even notice the difference between the mill and overlay or complete reconstruction as well. As, you know, there's a lot of construction fatigue along Bonnie Brae DM's building the substation right there that's been going on forever. So, you know, maybe maybe they're
- ? So TxDOT is going to start the what they call the merge project. So that's 35 I don't know the exact limits, but they're starting in January okay. And correct me where I'm wrong. Bonnie. Well so Bonnie Brae near Dak Stadium. That's about a year out a little more than
- that okay. And then the next phase when does that clear up north of that. Sure. So it'll be Bonnie Brae for be is north of that. And Bonnie Brae five is north of that. Those are the ones we're talking about. Delaying until three and six are done. Bonnie Brae six three to
- that. It's just unbelievable. The that has to be addressed. So tracking with you there and not to mention the school right there as well at Ronnie, Ronnie and Bonnie Brae. That's really something. That's really why we're pushing that project as fast as we are to try to
- standpoint that gives me peace. So that being said, I'm comfortable with the Bonnie Brae component just because I, you know, it's two years old, but I did a Google Maps look at it. I drive it pretty regular, and I agree with your assessment that it is, you know, by and large
- of that. And then the and I do want to point out I don't think I think it's important to point out this this segment that's 2019 bond. Is that right. No sir. Bonnie Brae phase five was 2012 2014 bond I believe. Yeah. So what. And I looked at the website. And so if I
